4th International seminar in social LCA - 19th, 20th and 21st November 2014 - Montpellier (France)
The international seminar in social LCA of Montpellier is the fourth of this theme. The first one was organized on May 31st, 2010 to DTU (Denmark) by Dr Louise Camilla Dreyer. The second took place on the next year (May 5th and 6th, 2011) to Agropolis International, in Montpellier already. The fourth seminar thus succeeds of the third one, masterfully organised on May 6th and 7th, 2013 by our colleagues from the CIRAIG, and particularly by professor Jean-Pierre Revéret.
These scientific events assert the necessity of a specific research concerning the social evaluation within the framework of life cycle. Naturally, all these works will be useful in the progress towards the sustainability, but also towards the permanency, of the life cycles. The purpose of these seminars is to review the recent developments of the various approaches specifically dealing with social LCA, without minimizing what they owe to the environmental LCA.
This seminar addresses mainly the managers in charge of the social evaluation of the chains of products in companies, the researchers involved in the social LCA field, and the students questioned by the social assessment issues. The seminar of Montpellier is organized by a researchers’ international and multi-institutional team in human and social sciences, working together on the social LCA. We hope that this event will be the opportunity to exchange more widely between various researchers’ teams interested in the world in the social evaluation of the life cycle. We invite them to make themselves known and to participate in this seminar.
Conferences and debates will be in English for the first session, and in French for the fourth session.
